When you travel or live in poor countries judging the motivation of the women can be extremely hard at times and you will wonder if she is a hooker or not. Even as an experienced expat you may never fully be able to get a grasp on it.

You will get better at reading them, but you will never truly have everything figured out. Many call them ‘gray area girls’ and that means they aren’t exactly hookers, but they may not be ‘good girls’ either.

Lets break down how a standard hook up with a gray area girl goes so that you can understand what we are talking about.

Meet A Cute Girl Online And Have Sex Quickly

Lets say you meet some girl on a dating site and you seem to get along great. She is laughing at all of your jokes and texting you often. You are basically BFF’s after a few days and now you go on a date.

You get some food and then some drinks. Things go swimmingly and you ask her if she wants to come to your place. You bang all night long and then give her enough money to pay for her taxi home.

A couple days later she texts you saying she needs money for school. Or her sister is sick in the hospital can you help. Or any other reason why she wants you to give her money.

This is a pretty extreme example and clearly this girl wants you to pay her. She was to shy to bring it up before and now will ask for payment after her services have already been rendered.

She really isn’t even a gray area girl, or if she is she is definitely tinted towards the hooker color, but that was just one example of how things go. Other girls will take longer to get into bed or will wait longer to ask.

The thing is in these poorer countries you have to understand that jobs are hard to come by, jobs pay very little, and every girl will assume you are rich. That has its advantages, but it has disadvantages as well.

When Gray Area Girls Go Well

Gray area girls go well when the girl is hot. You just had an awesome time with a cute girl and now you can say ‘sure I understand you, why don’t you come back over tonight and I can help you out with that.’

Boom, she is on the way over later and you get another night of fun with a hot girl. No problem here as long as she isn’t asking for too much. If she does ask for too much explain you make money online but aren’t rich but can help her out with however much you are comfortable with. Odds are she will come.

Also some girls that are more tinted to the ‘good girl’ side of things may truly want to be your friend, but then ask you for assistance when they really need it. For example, they may come to your place 5 or 6 times and then one day need to get something for their new job.

There are a lot of ‘requirements’ to get a job in some countries and many cost money. So a girl may have finally found a job but need $20 to be able to pay for the paperwork or certification or whatever.

She may ask you, and unless you are a heartless bastard you should probably have no problem helping her out with it. Others may do the 5 visit and bang thing and then ask for $500 for some emergency, that is a different story.

When Gray Area Girls Go Badly

Basically it is when they aren’t hot. As an expat you will probably be having quite a bit of sex, or at least enough to keep you satisfied. Sure, more is always better, but it isn’t always necessary or worth paying for.

Back in the sex prison that is the western world you may have gladly paid an average girl $30 to spend the night with you, but now you may pass on the opportunity. You will do it for free, but it isn’t worth paying for.

Some 5 off of a dating site comes over and a few days later she asks you for money. You never would have agreed to pay her if she had been up front about it, but now she is asking and you already got yours.

This is a pretty tough moral dilemma. Hopefully you aren’t the type of guy that tries to take advantage of your privileged situation to much. Just being an expat in a poor country is arguably somewhat taking advantage, but you can at least do your best to be a good person while you are there.

So if you don’t pay you may feel like you are being kind of a dick, but on the other hand it is her own fault for not asking before since you never would have said yes.

It is not a fun position to be in. This seems to be most common with Southeast Asian girls who are very shy.

If you go out of your way to confirm they don’t want money and they still ask then you probably shouldn’t feel morally obligated to pay. If you don’t ask and know the request might be coming then maybe you should.

How To Deal With Might Be Hookers

They definitely seem to be more prevalent in some countries then others and the Philippines sounds to be about the worst. But women are shy, and in poor countries they need money, so this can happen anywhere.

If you meet girls online it is pretty easy to find out if they want money or not by asking. Don’t be rude about it, though it always be kind of rude. Just explain that you aren’t judging her personally, that you ask every girl you have met online this same question, many girls are working online to get money from guys, is she.

You may expect that this will burn a lot of bridges but in reality most girls will respect the fact you are trying to avoid hookers. It may make you more desirable to them because they now know you are a good guy.

With some you may have to do a bit of damage control and say you are so sorry to offend them and remind them it was nothing personal. Generally if they make a big deal about it they are probably hookers that don’t want to lose face.
